The 2024 Christmas card was created by Elise Nigul, a prop and stage designer and alumna of Viljandi Culture Academy of the University of Tartu. When living in Tartu, she enjoyed her evening walks, captivated by the university’s main building illuminated in bright Christmas lights.
The illustration on the card symbolises equality: the university appreciates each person and cares for everyone, regardless of their culture, skin colour, gender, age, traditions or beliefs.
The Christmas e-card with greetings in Estonian and English is available at joulud.ut.ee. In an email, it is also possible to attach an image file of the e-card in addition to the link.
The musical design of the card is by Roland Väljataga and Ivonna-Ly Pachel, students of rhythm music at Viljandi Culture Academy. The animation was created by Karl Šafranovski.
